North Myrtle Beach, SC - The Flounder Frenzie hosted by the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce works in conjunction with the Dixie Chicken Fishing Funament to help raise awareness of the fishing recreation in the area.

The Flounder Frenzie is planned for May 24^th and will be held at Harbourgate Marina in North Myrtle Beach.  Registration is Friday night under the tent at Harbourgate Marina.  Fishing begins at 8:00 am on Saturday, May 24^th.  This years Grand Prize is $2,500, courtesy of Marine Service Center.

The fund-raising efforts from this event contribute toward the building and development of an artificial reef project named after Jim Caudle, an avid fisherman who died in 2000.  The tournament is named after Caudle's boat, the Dixie Chicken, which was docked at Harbourgate Marina for more than a decade.
