Hurricane Preparedness Seminar on Tuesday, July 8th
North Myrtle Beach, SC - Preparation for hurricanes is the best way to protect you and your family from Mother Nature’s wrath. Come join your neighbors and find out what you need to know to be prepared if a hurricane strikes. Experts say a direct hit from a tropical storm and/or major hurricane is not a question of "IF", but "WHEN".
The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Community Coalition of Little River and the Little River Chamber of Commerce will host a Hurricane Preparedness Seminar at Barefoot Community Church, located at 701 Main Street, North Myrtle Beach Tuesday, July 8th at 6:30 pm for North Myrtle Beach and Little River residents and business owners.
The presenters are two very knowledgeable and recognized experts. Each will present information, and then take questions from the audience.
Ed Piotrowski, AMS, is the Chief Meteorologist for WPDE News Channel 15 is well respected by the local audience, and nationally by his colleagues in weather prediction and interpretation of weather data.
Randy Webster, Director of Emergency Management for Horry County, is nationally known and recognized for his contributions in disaster planning and preparedness. He can best explain what local residents must do to be prepared and how to best respond to warnings, and evacuation orders.
This seminar is FREE and open to the public. Vendors at 6:30 pm and program at 7:30 pm. Door prizes and free refreshments.
