North Myrtle Beach Chamber Announces Legislative Grass Roots Network

North Myrtle Beach, SC - Following a state legislative briefing presented by Mr. Otis Rawl, President/CEO of the SC Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ed Horton, Chairman of the Board, of the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, Convention & Visitors Bureau, announced the formation of a Legislative Grass Roots Network for its more than 1,000 members. 

The North Myrtle Beach Chamber’s board approved the initiative at it’s meeting last week, but used the state legislative briefing as the venue to make the announcement to close to 50 members who attended the briefing.

“We believe there are hundreds of our members who have a personal interest in being more involved in the legislative process on the local, state, and federal levels,” commented Horton. 

“This network will give them on-line access to issues important to our business community and the continued positive growth of their own business,” added chamber President/CEO, Marc Jordan.

Members of ‘The Network’ will receive legislative alerts on local, state, and federal issues, sometimes asking for their input and attendance at important hearings and briefings.  Members will also receive special invitations to meet with elected officials to provide important feedback and input from business owners.

The annual fee for membership in the Legislative Grass Roots Network is $50.00.  Additional employees of the same firm may join for $25.00 each, also on an annual basis.
