“Twice the Fun, Half the Distance, Experience North Myrtle Beach”
North Myrtle Beach, SC- The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau is hitting the road again with their “Twice the Fun, Half the Distance, Experience North Myrtle Beach Bus Tour.” The tour is part of the 2009 North Myrtle Beach Destination Blitz marketing campaign to promote our city to thousands of potential visitors in our drive markets. Chamber representatives will travel on a tour bus May 19-21, 2009 to several cities in North and South Carolina.
The tour dubbed, “Twice the Fun, Half the Distance, Experience North Myrtle Beach” was done in June of 2008 and collected over 1,000 vacation inquiry’s and distributed over 1,800 Visitor’s Guides. The specifically designed webpage; www.ExperienceNorthMyrtleBeach.com; received visits from states as far away as Oregon, California, Texas, Pennsylvania, and New York. Topping the list were 58.57% of visits from South Carolina. On the webpage visitors could follow the trip through an updated blog and see photos and videos recapping each day. In addition, web visitors could request a Visitor’s Guide and also visit the chamber’s main website: www.NorthMyrtleBeachChamber.com.
“Last years inaugural trip was so successful and well received, we felt it was important to introduce our Second Annual Bus Tour promoting North Myrtle Beach as a family vacation destination” stated Marc Jordan, President/CEO.
The purpose of the trip is to draw visitors to North Myrtle Beach who might typically visit other coastal areas. WPDE News Channel 15 will have updated reports nightly, May 19-21, on the progress of the trip.
The bus will stop at five different locations during the tour; in North Carolina, Raleigh and Charlotte; in South Carolina, Spartanburg, Greenville and Columbia. The bus will return home on Thursday, May 21st and arrive at the Chamber Business After Hours held at Anderson Brothers Bank
