Join us at 9:30 pm on July 4th at The Cherry Grove Fishing Pier for the most spectacular fireworks show on the beach!
Tune to 94.9 The Surf for patriotic music during the show!
The pier is located at 3500 N. Ocean Blvd. in the Cherry Grove section of North Myrtle Beach. The Pier spans ¼ mile off of the coastal shore. This makes for a beautiful display and along with the other activities, this event is certainly a memorable evening for the entire family.
Fireworks show by Melrose Pyrotechnics. This event is free and open to the public, so come out, bring a beach chair and enjoy July 4th at the beach!

NMB Business License Renewal Deadline April 30
North Myrtle Beach business license renewal applications are due by April 30 in order to have a valid City business license. Renewal applications for the 2008-2009 year were mailed March 19, 2008. If anyone has questions, please call (843) 280-5585.

Relay for Life - Donation Opportunity for
Members
The North Myrtle Beach High School Team will host a Relay for Life event
on Friday, May 2nd at the high school. The event sponsors local businesses
in the area and hosts activities for all age groups. The North Myrtle
Beach High School Team is looking for donations to giveaway as prizes to
the winners of their various planned activities. Donations needed such as
show tickets, logo material, gift certificates, etc. If you decide to
donate, your business will be listed on all flyers, advertisements, etc.
to promote the event.

Chamber officially announces new President/CEO
North Myrtle Beach, SC - The Board of Directors of the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of R. Marc Jordan as President and Chief Executive Officer of the 1,200-member organization.

Jordan has previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Memphis Regional Chamber, a position he held for ten years. This marked a 33-year career serving in leadership positions with Chambers of Commerce including Raleigh, NC, Norfolk, VA, Rocky Mount, NC, and beginning with the Greater Lynchburg Chamber of Commerce.

North Myrtle Beach High School is partnering with six North Myrtle Beach businesses for a new “Occupational Diploma Program.” This program focuses on preparing students to graduate with employability skills, self-advocacy, and basic skills necessary to be successful on the job and in life.
