Day 1
Morning: Your
first stop is a visit to Ripley's Aquarium where the feature attraction is a
750,000 gallon tank that surrounds you on all sides as you move through the
area on the world's longest people mover. The tank is filled with 10 foot
sharks and other assorted marine life. You'll be able to touch Southern
Cow-Nosed Rays and Bonnet-Head Sharks in the area called the Friendship Flats.
Afternoon:
Enjoy lunch at any one of North Myrtle Beach's fabulous restaurants!
Evening: The
day ends with a fabulous show at Medieval Times Dinner and Theatre. Come enjoy
the thrilling action, four-course feasting, pageantry and romance that has
made Medieval Times a favorite dinner attraction! See sparks fly and lances
shatter as brave knights battle in sword fights and hand-to-hand combat!
Day 2
Morning: Your
second day on the tour begins with a morning of golf at one of the fabulous
courses we have on the Grand Strand.
Afternoon:
Enjoy a walk on the beach, an afternoon by the pool, shopping or a relaxing
nap during your free afternoon. Miniature golf and water sports are some of
the great choices.
Evening: Get
ready for the Carolina Opry, which has been voted South Carolina's Most
Outstanding Attraction and is celebrating its 20th anniversary. It is
comprised of all types of dancing and music from Broadway hits and gospel to
country to pop. Rounding out the show are performances by a tap dancing team
and a comedian.
Day 3
Morning: A
short trip north to Calabash will take you to the home of the Hurricane Fleet
to enjoy a Dolphin Eco Tour to a barrier island. The dolphin tour is conducted
by a Marine Biologist who will cast nets and crap traps into the inlet and
bring up an array of marine life that might include sea urchins, sand dollars,
whelks, crabs and various plant life. You'll be able to observe various shore
birds and hawks as well as tortoises, dolphins and alligators. Or you could
choose to enjoy deep sea fishing with the Little River Fishing Fleet. Your
fishing adventure on the boat called the "Pride of the Carolinas" includes an
exciting afternoon of fishing in the waters off coastal South Carolina.
Afternoon:
Enjoy lunch at one of the 15 different restaurants located in Barefoot
Landing, followed by shopping at any one of their 100 specialty stores.
Evening:
Stroll over to the backside of Barefoot Landing at the end of the day with a
buffet dinner cruise down the Intracoastal Waterway on the Jungle Princess.
Relax on this calming cruise with beautiful scenery of the Atlantic
Intracoastal Waterway.
Day 4
Morning:
Housed in a converted Post Office adjacent to the Historic District of
downtown Conway, the Horry County museum features monthly exhibits by local
artists in addition to its historical and regional exhibits. Learn about what
life was like in South Carolina and Horry County during the 18th century with
the exhibit, the Colonial Period.
Afternoon:
This afternoon you will see the stars, at the Ingram Planetarium in nearby
Sunset Beach, North Carolina. The Museum of Coastal Carolina is proud to offer
this truly unique audio and visual educational experience. The Planetarium is
a state of the art facility offering planetary and astronomy programs and
hands-on exhibits for all ages.
Evening: This
evening relax with en exciting night of Bingo at North Myrtle Beach Bingo.
They have high roller bingo and everyday bingo. It is beach Bingo at its best!
Day 5
Morning: Day
four begins with a short drive to Brookgreen Gardens located in Murrells
Inlet. Now celebrating its 75th Anniversary, Brookgreen Gardens offers
exciting new exhibitions, programs and events. Today, Brookgreen Gardens is a
National Historic Landmark with one of the most significant collections of
figurative sculpture by American artists in the world and has the only zoo
accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association on the coast of the
Carolinas. Within its more than 9,000 acres are the Lowcountry History and
Wildlife Preserve, the Huntington Sculpture Garden and the Center for American
Sculpture. Lunch will be available on the grounds.
Afternoon:
After lunch you're off to Tanger Outlets for an afternoon of shopping at more
than 100 designer and manufacturer's outlets.
Evening: The
day ends with a fabulous show at Legends In Concert, the longest running show
of its kind. With over 100 rotating acts, Legends In Concert has played to
more than 15 million fans in 15 countries on 5 continents and throughout the
United States.
Day 6
Morning & Afternoon:
Today could be your lucky day! All aboard the SunCruz Casino Boat, the
Carolina's largest casino vessel. Enjoy this five hour cruise into
international waters including food, fun, and gambling!
Evening:
Tonight you will solve a crime, at the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre. A shot
rings out, a body drops, and suddenly you are smack dab in the middle of a
homicide investigation! It's a comedy whodunit, where you solve the crime!
Day 7
Morning:
Located in a vast, natural coastal paradise, Inlet Point Plantation Stables
features a variety of equestrian adventures to meet a wide range of ages,
riding skills, and budgets. You will enjoy all of the fun and excitement of
today's South Carolina Grand Strand, and then experience the timeless natural
beauty of South Carolina's historic coast at Inlet Point Plantation Stables.
Afternoon:
Enjoy an afternoon of creativity at Art in the Works in Little River, where
you let your creative juices flow by creating your own unique piece of art!
Evening:
Tonight you will have dinner at the Grand Strand's most fun place to eat,
Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show. The one-price ticket includes
admission, the fabulous four-course feast, the spectacular show, and
entertainment in their Carriage Room.
Day 8
Morning:
Get ready for a day of wine tasting! You’re invited to discover some of
Coastal Carolina’s agricultural bounty, beautiful vineyards and fine wines!
Today will take you on a trip to four different vineyards located in North and
South Carolina. Beginning at Silver Coast Winery in Ocean Isle Beach, NC
(only a short drive away) you will taste award winning wines in a beautiful
setting with enchanting waterfalls.
Afternoon: This afternoon travel to Grapefull Sisters Vineyard in Tabor City,
NC. This breathtaking vineyard specializes in peace and quite ambiance and
they also have a real knack for ‘leaving you alone’ to enjoy the country
scene. You can shop in their art gallery/gift shop or just sit on the
spacious porches and enjoy a glass or bottle of wine. Next on the wine trail,
you will travel to La Bella Amie Vineyard located in Little River, SC. La
Belle Amie is part of a former tobacco plantation that has been owned by the
Bellamy family since the 1800’s. Guests may sample wines, browse the gift
shop and relax with a bottle or glass of wine on the porch.
Evening: Your last stop on the wine trail is Carolina Vineyards in North
Myrtle Beach! They offer a full selection of wines and are open late!
Carolina Vineyards is located at barefoot Landing with over a hundred
specialty shops and over twenty restaurants to choose from for dinner.
Day 9
Morning: Your
last day begins with a road trip to fantastic Magnolia Plantation and Gardens
located just outside of Charleston. Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, the
oldest man-made attraction in America is listed in the National Register of
Historic Places and has been open since the late 1860's. Possible side tours
include the Nature Train or Nature Boat, Audubon Swamp Garden and Magnolia
Plantation House. Enjoy a box lunch on the grounds beneath the shade of the
moss-covered oaks.
Afternoon:
You've spent a full day at the plantation and its gardens so sit back and
relax on the way home.
Evening:
Ending out your last day is a show at Alabama Theatre, home to "ONE The Show."
This is a variety show featuring all classes of music from Broadway hits to
gospel, out-standing production numbers and a hilarious comedian end the show!
