North Myrtle Beach, SC - Eddie Kwong, owner and chef at E Noodles & Co. in North Myrtle Beach is one of twenty finalists in ABC Nightline's "People’s Platelist Contest".
Nightline’s Platelist Show features distinguished chefs. Due to the popularity of the show, ABC producers were inspired to create an equivalent, "People's Platelist," for unknown chefs across the nation. Kwong was nominated and received thousands of votes to become one of the top twenty finalists.
All finalists must complete a video 3 minutes or less that highlights why he or she should be “Nightline People’s Platelist” winner. The videos will be posted online and people can vote from August 26th - September 26th.
The winner will receive a full Platelist segment, taped and produced by Nightline that will run on the national broadcast on ABC in late October.
Chef Eddie Kwong is the only chef in the Carolinas nominated as a finalist.
"As a child I worked in my father's restaurant," stated Kwong. "My entire family is in the Chinese and Thai food restaurant industry. My sisters owned and operated Chinese restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area for many years. And one of my sisters is the owner and operator of E Noodles & Co. in Concord, N.C.
Kwong's restaurant, E Noodles & Co. is located at 110 Hwy 17 South in North Myrtle Beach.
