Dixie Chicken Funament Donates $5,000 to SCDNR Reef-Ex Program

Published: Thursday, August 26, 2010 North Myrtle Beach, SC- The Dixie Chicken Fishing Funament donated $5,000 to South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Reef-Ex Project at a ceremony held at Harbourgate Marina in North Myrtle Beach, Friday, August 20th, 2010.   The money will be used to help grow the Jim Caudle Artificial Reef, located just a few miles off the Little River shoreline, along with the other 37 artificial reefs located off the coast of SC.

Nightline’s Platelist Show features distinguished chefs.  Due to the popularity of the show, ABC producers were inspired to create an equivalent, "People's Platelist," for unknown chefs across the nation.  Kwong was nominated and received thousands of votes to become one of the top twenty finalists

North Myrtle Beach, SC- The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors has adopted their 2010-2011 Business Plan.  Available on the chamber’s website, the plan covers each program council’s goals and objectives for the coming year.

Keibler recognized with Lifetime Sales Achievement Award by ACCE

- Vicki Keibler, Membership/Sales Director at the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau, was the recipient of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Membership Development Division’s Lifetime Sales Achievement Award.  Keibler was one of four chamber sales professionals in the United States and Canada presented with the award in the Million Dollar Circle, which  recognizes individual achievement in membership dollars sold ($1,000,000) throughout the sales professional's entire chamber career.

North Myrtle Beach Chamber to hold public meetings regarding 1% Tourism Development Fee

North Myrtle Beach, SC - The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau will hold two public meetings to discuss the possibility of a 1% Tourism Development Fee in North Myrtle Beach.  The purpose of these meetings is to provide information regarding the economic impact of the tax in North Myrtle Beach.  The chamber is encouraging the public to bring their questions, comments and concerns.
