HGTC Foundation

The Horry Georgetown Technical College Foundation is delighted to sponsor North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce's First Friday Business Builder in honor of HGTC President Marilyn Murphy Fore. Dr. Fore has served the College for many years and her dedication to both the enhancement of the programs offered and the quality of education students receive at HGTC is second to none. She is also HGTC's first female president and the Foundation is incredibly proud of her accomplishments during her tenure at the College.

Established in 1978, the Horry Georgetown Technical College Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization, incorporated in the State of South Carolina for the purposes of enhancing the image of the College in the community and to raise, invest, manage, and disburse funds in support of the students, faculty, staff, programs and activities of the institution. As a non-profit organization, the Foundation has been classified by the IRS as a public charity operated for the benefit of a state college and is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
