What is Destination Next and what can we expect from completing the workshops and survey?
Berkeley Young of Young Strategies will be here to conduct board retreats, community workshops, and discuss Destination Next and begin the strategic planning conversation for the Chamber/CVB. This informative session will cover high points of the value of Destination Next and the advantages for a research-based tourism strategy, the value and power of travel, and some key take-aways for each of us to understand our customers in-turn increasing visitation and visitor spending
Berkeley's experience includes serving as the Executive Director of a start-up convention and visitor's bureau and a director of a chamber of commerce in which he oversaw the creation and success of a research-based tourism marketing program for a rural county in the mountains of North Carolina. Young was hired as Director of Sales and quickly promoted to General Manager of a large golf resort managed by Interstate Hotels Corporation. Young joined Randall Travel Marketing in 1998 as Vice President conducting research for DMOs throughout the United States. He opened Young Strategies in November 2004 focusing on strategic planning and research for destination marketing organizations. Young is a top-rated speaker at regional and national conferences.
Young is known for his team building, active listening and thoughtful consideration when developing a plan for a community. Join us for dynamic conversation with Berkeley.
