North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Welcomes MBREDC President & CEO Josh Kay as Novemberís First Friday Business Builder Speaker

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Oct. 26, 2015 – The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation (MBREDC) President and CEO Josh Kay as its featured speaker for November’s First Friday Business Builder event. This month’s breakfast will be held on Nov. 6 from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. at the Conference Center at Barefoot Resort (2250 Premier Resorts Blvd., North Myrtle Beach, S.C.)

Kay, who will join MBREDC on Nov. 2, is instrumental in business recruitment, existing industry retention and expansions, and growing the organization’s private sector membership. Prior to joining the MBREDC, Kay was the Director of Economic Development for Santee Cooper and assisted in the recruitment of industries such as Sigmatex, Wyman Gordon and Volvo to the state of South Carolina. Kay also holds experience as the City Manager of Clinton, S.C. and Washington, N.C.

The First Friday Business Builder is an informative monthly breakfast meeting held on the first Friday of every month by the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. The event is available to chamber members and non-members as an opportunity to hear valuable speakers on important topics, updates on city and council issues, and new business opportunities.

Tickets are $15 for members and $25 for non-members, and can be purchased on the Chamber’s website. The meetings are presented by the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce and this month’s event is sponsored by MBREDC.
